Sittin' up and learning to cook already ...

So Zoe is 8 weeks old tomorrow already! Wow!! We have been busy around here doing things before I go back to school and the training room. Over the course of a couple days Zoe and I made home made tomato soup. Nana & Papa left us with some delicious tomatoes and then someone at Harbor was giving a bunch away and I had cherry tomatoes and the process began! It took me about a full day to get the base made. Then we simmered it that day and got it in the fridge! A couple days later Zoe and I spent a morning putting it through the food processor to make it yummy and smooth. I am going to keep it in the freezer for this fall and winter to make chili. What a great base for my chili ... oh I can't wait! I had to keep a sample of my work to have for lunch and I know that I am a bit biased but wowza it was delicious!!!
Just today Chris and I decided to see how Zoe would do in her Bumbo Chair. What a strong little girl we have. She has such good head control already and I think that she enjoyed sitting upright and looking out at the world. I think that this will be a good morning activity when her little neck and head aren't so tired from the day :)
Keep an eye out for some fall pictures. Lori made Zoe a pumpkin with her name on it and we are going to take some pictures in her Halloween clothes. Can't wait! I will post them as soon as we take the pictures!

Zoe's First Tailgate: USF Football 2009

My brother, Patrick, plays football for the University of St. Francis in Joliet IL. So this year we have gone to 2 of his games with Zoe. The first game was Zoe's first overnight trip and stay in a hotel . When we made this trip Zoe was only 1 month old, wow!!! She did amazing on the trip. She got to meet her Uncle Patrick, Uncle Mike and Aunt Stacey :) They all went back to our hotel after the game to hang out and I was so happy that they were able to meet her and hold her and bond with her.
Last weekend September 19th we made the trip again ... It was the USF homecoming game and Zoe went to her first tailgate. She wasn't the life of the party that's for sure but she hung out with us in her stroller, got to see Uncle Patrick before the game and hung out with Papa while Uncle Mike and Nana got all the food ready! It was a hot and steamy day but she did a great job again. Afterwards we all went out to dinner at a local establishment and Zoe had her first bar experience and of course slept through it all! LOL!!

Cousins

On Friday I went into school for the day to sub for my sub. I enjoyed the time with my students but missed Zoe terribly that day. Zoe went to cousin August's house for the day and spent time with him and his mommy cousin Jamie. Jamie took some cute pictures of the two of them and made my day by sending me the pictures so I could see them while I was at school. I love the picture of Zoe on the boppy and August's smile is adorable!! They had a great day hanging out and Great Grandma Endres even made a visit that day. Thanks cousin Jamie & August ... Zoe enjoyed her day and had a lot of fun I am sure :)

Mommy found it and made use of it today :) My very own tool belt with tools, well grooming tools for now!!! Thanks Papa, xoxoxo
