Zoe's Papa Pumpkin

Last night Chris, Wrigley, Zoe & I carved out Papa's home grown pumpkin. Papa started growing it for her and wanted to get it as big as she was or bigger so she'd fit in it! Well mission accomplished!!! Chris did the carving and I was in charge of Zoe :) We watched and before we knew it she was sitting in the pumpkin and didn't mind it at all. She was sticky afterwards but that's OK. Then Chris decided that it needed to be carved out and didn't know what to do so while Zoe & I watched "The Light Box", aka TV, Chris carved out her name on the side. Then it was back inside for more pictures. Of course she was already out of her clothes so it was just a blanket and diaper picture. Boy oh boy was she sticky then. That meant it was tubby time. She had such a good time and we enjoyed spending the time with her ... hope she enjoys the pictures and stories later in life. Thanks dad, I mean Papa, for the pumpkin. Zoe really loves them all, well we do if she doesn't know what to like yet!!!

Badger Homecoming vs Iowa

Today Zoe and Daddy stayed home and watched the Badgers get beat by Iowa (booooo!!!!) while I worked a cross country meet!! When I got home, just after half time we had some football fun pictures as you can see. Zoe looks so darn cute in her Badger Cheerleader outfit that Nana bought her. The turtle next was a bit big but was so adorable. After some football food, yummy bottle, Zoe decided to take a nap. Zoe has this bad habit of using her middle finger, so I could resist, I took a picture after making an IOWA sign and well, that's what she thought of the Badger loss today!!! Sorry Uncle Dave and Aunt Chrissy!! Maybe Uncle Patrick is right,,,, maybe I am too immature to be a mommy,,, at least she has Chris to be the mature parent, well most of the time at least!

Fall Fun With Family

This weekend was full of fun times. Chris and I went to the Waunakee/Stoughton Football game Friday night, which of course Waunakee stomped all over Stoughton which meant that I worked a lot that night ... lots of injuries. Zoe stayed with Gramma and Grandpa and got to meet Aunt Chrissy, Uncle Dave and cousin Lucas. They had a great night getting to know each other. Zoe has finally met all of her aunts and uncles :)

On Saturday I had class all day and apparently it was snowing but my class was in a room with no windows. Last year about this time we had temps in the upper 70's and low 80's and then this year snow flurries ... Have to love weather in the Midwest!!!

Saturday after class Zoe, Chris and I spent the evening at Gramma & Grandpa's enjoying a wonderful dinner. Gramma Joan made a roast, veggies and mmmmmm..... apple pie!! We all ate until we were stuffed. Zoe and Lucas got to know each other more and Lucas really kept a watchful eye on little Zoe. While we were having dinner Nana was on her way to visit for the weekend.
Nana arrived Saturday night to spend the rest of the weekend with us. She didn't have school today so she watched Zoe while we were at work. Sunday morning we all got up and bbbbrrrr it was a brisk morning but we all bundled up and off we went to the Pumpkin Patch just outside of Lodi. All 9 of us met up and we got to see lots of animals, which Lucas loved!! Then Zoe decided it was time to eat, that part was fine .... it was the burping part that wasn't going so well. She really got fussy but then we loaded onto the wagon and the first bump solved that problem. Apparently I had her so bundled that we couldn't get the burp out of her, and as soon as she unleashed the beast she fell asleep for a bit!! The rest of the day was spent hanging out with everyone and watching football and warming up.
Today Nana spent the whole day with Zoe. Papa grew pumpkins for Zoe this year and Nana brought them this weekend so Zoe didn't need any pumpkins from the patch and cousin Lucas got to take home his green one and a few others. Nana and Zoe spent a great day of snuggling, reading, tummy time, doing laundry and just hanging out! It was so nice that she got to spend the day and the weekend with Zoe! Thanks Nana!!!

Another good weekend for the books ~ enjoy the pictures!!

A Week of Adventures

So I went back to work this week so it's been a crazy and emotional week! Zoe seems to be enjoying her stay at cousin Kristin's house at the very least Hallie is enjoying her company that's for sure and seems like Ty isn't so sure of Zoe. Toni is here with her on Wed. and Fri. each week. Going back to work wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be on the first day, worse on the second and third day for sure!!! But each day seems to get easier!

We are all doing well here in fact Zoe had her 2 month appointment today.... She is 12lbs 2oz and 23 inches long. She took her shots like a champ and is very healthy!! No concerns here.

Today is my day off so Zoe and I went to the doctor's and then had lunch with Daddy at work. We spent the afternoon, rainy and cold, just watching TV and snuggling all afternoon. Then the Simon's went to the hospital to visit our new friend Daria. She is 2 days old and is Marcia and Andrew's new baby girl. Zoe has a little playmate now. While we were there we went to check to see if Joni was working, and she was. Joni helped deliver Zoe and was a great help to us and took very good care of us. So it was nice to stop in and say hi to her and let her see Zoe!!

Well it's off to bed now ... if Zoe will zonk out here ... Til next time!!
